RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

What is the pH of a solution containing a 1.0 x 10−6 M solution of HCl? 1 6 1 x 106 1 x 10−6 @sweetburger

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

6 right?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Because HCl is a strong acid we assume it completely dissociates in water. Therefore taking the -log(concentration of HCl) produces the pH. Which in fact is 6.
