I am for real Struggling On my Stoiciometry and need help like now!!
what's the question?

It says for the first part. Balance the equation
General procedure : 1- Balance metals 2- Balance non-metals, NOT including O or H 3 - Balance O 4- Balance H Try following those steps for the first part
The second Part it says what mass of H2SO4 reacts with sodium hydroxide, what mass of water is produced?
eg : you have 2 Na on the LHS, but only one one the right, so you need to put a coefficient of 2 in front of the NaOH term
Let's start by balancing and then we'll move to the second part
Okay... So 2H2SO4+2NOH
Is that right? would you just simply put two on one side if it is two on the other?
Not necessarily. You don't need to add across the entire side. At the end of step 1, you have H2SO4 + 2NaOH = Na2SO4 + H2O If you add 2 in front of the H2SO4 reagent, you end up with 2S on the RHS and only one on the left so that doesn't help - Sulfur (nonmetal) is already balanced, meaning you can move on to step 3 - oxygen. Count how many oxygens you have on either side and see if they match.
Okay I see
You can also make a little table to help you keep track. Right now you have RHS LHS Na 2 2 S 1 1 O 6 5 H 4 2
ok
So how would you balance the oxygens? You're missing one on the LHS - which product should you add a coefficient to? How does that change the table?
