-3/2

OpenStudy (photon336):

\[(\frac{ 1 }{ 36 })^{n} = 216\] right?

OpenStudy (photon336):

could probably take the log of both sides. \[n*\log(\frac{ 1 }{ 36 }) = \log(216) \] \[\frac{ \log(216) }{ \log(\frac{ 1 }{ 36 }) } = n \] n = \[-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\] we can actually check this \[(\frac{ 1 }{ 36 })^{-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }} = ?\]
