Integration Review Help
to find the area under the graph you use the trapezium rule (10/2)x [17+17+ 2x(20+22+21)] =328 SQUARE UNITS
OKay yeah I thought that was the way to do it but I wasn't sure
Do you want help with all the questions?
Yeah if that ain't a problem
I'll be here tomorrow and Friday so doesn't have to be all today
okay
So that first one was for part a of the first question right?
Could you write that first expression with the equation maker thing it is hard to see what values you are multiplying/adding
For part A it's just the average speed value from 6:00 to 6:40 so (17+20+22+21+17) /5=82.4mph
Is that really it? Wow I thoguht I would have to at least use the average value function
the trapezium rule is Area=(perpendicular height of trapezium/2) x (extreme lengths + 2x[lengths in between added together])
Okay
I don't know how to do part A i thought i would use the mean but it said use the trapezoid rule so...
That's okay
Are you a student?
I'm a UK student the curriculum is a bit different
Calculus?
This is calculus
Yeah we are taught calculus. For the trapezium rule we are only taught how to estimate the area under the curve
Yeah Okay cool we call it trapezoidal, but it's the same thing And that was last quarter so that isn't what I'm supposed to do in this question
Shoot dude I have to go I'll "see" you later
ok
