Remember, a major arc needs to be greater than 180 degrees, essentially taking up most of the circle. CA is exactly 180 degrees and cuts the circle into two semicircles. Therefore, it is neither a major nor minor arc. CE and EC are the same, they are minor arcs. CB is also minor. One example of a major arc in this picture is CDEAB. Remember to use at least three points on the arc to avoid confusion. Can you think of another major arc?

Ok. We know the angle measures of BC, CD, and DE. We need to find the angle measure of EA. We know that CDEA divides the circle into two halves. It has a measure of 180 degrees. 180 degrees = 95 degrees + 28 degrees + the measure of EA (in degrees) Can you simplify the equation and solve for the measure of EA?

Right. So now we just add up the angle measures: 57 (BC) + 95 (CD) + 28 (DE) + 57 (EA) = 237 degrees
