OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

HELP PLEASE THANK YOU VERY MUCH :D Glass is a strong material. How does atomic structure relate to this?

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

by atomic structure I mean glass atomic stucture @texaschic101

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

glass is an amorphous solid in which it takes noncrystalline shape/non-ordered shape. Because of this glass lacks the lattice pattern that say NaCl exhibits.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Glass is a strong solid, but strength is relative. There are many more solids that would be "stronger" than glass.

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

ahh but how would strength of glass relate to atomic structure?
