RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

In an industrial process, the temperature of a fixed amount of gas in a rigid container drops from 50 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. What will be the final pressure in the container if the initial pressure is 3.6 atmospheres? 1.8 atm 3.3 atm 3.9 atm 7.2 atm

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Convert temperatures from Celsius to Kelvin 50 degrees Celsius = 323 Kelvin 25 degrees Celsius = 298 Kelvin 3.6 * (298/323) = 3.32 atmospheres

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

could I tag you in my chemistry questions?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Yes you may tag me for chemistry questions. By the way, your question deals with Gay-Lussac's Law : http://www.1728.org/gaspres.htm
