Geometry 1Q Check Pls! Will Award/Medal! Thx :D
if it is a right circular cone? see my attachment
idk, seems strange. Thanks for replying I would like to see what others can say. If you are correct, I will medal you etc. :)
sure.
basically ive gotten down to in my work this.... "82,418PI = 1/3(10302.25)(h)"... Solve for h and round to the nearest whole number
the 10302.25 is my area of the base. (PIr^2) and its part of the volume formula for cones... V = 1/3(AREA)(HEIGHT)
is it not just 24? just doing what you said and solving for h? V=pi/3r^2h so 82418(PI)*(3/PI)/(101.5)^2 = h h=24
hm and wolfram says 75! all different answers, aaaa!! http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=82418%CF%80+%3D+1%2F3(10302.25)(a)
24 is correct V=pi/3r^2h so 82418(PI)*(3/PI)/(101.5)^2 = h h=24
82418*pi = (1/3)*pi * (203/2)^2*h
hm now how do I solve that with "82,418PI = 1/3(10302.25)(h)"... cuz all I was doing was following the teachers formula's
I used this formula: V = (1/3) * pi * r^2 * h which is the same as the teacher's formula.
hmm, ok. Well I wrote it down! Thanks for all the help guys! :)
You are welcome.
Using x for h, I entered the calculation here: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=82418*pi+%3D+(1%2F3)*pi*(203%2F2)%5E2*x
