alones (alones):

What is the center of the circle that has a diameter whose endpoints are (-3, -5) and (-11, -7)? My answer is (-8, -1) But i'm not sure if it's right

OpenStudy (xguardians):

So first, you have to find the Δx and Δy for this equation. -11 - (-3) = -8 Δx -7 - (-5) = -2Δy Divide by two to find the endpoints -8/2 = -4 for x -2/2 = -1 for y (-4,-1)

OpenStudy (xguardians):

I hope I didn't mess up on your last question, I just realized my mistake, can you pot it here again?

alones (alones):

My previous one? Actually wait i dont' have (-4,-1) asmy choice /:

OpenStudy (xguardians):

Oops, I forgot a step, (-4,-1) is what you add to the lower coordinate (-3,-5), so the midpoint should be (-7,-6)

OpenStudy (xguardians):

I'm solving it two different ways Q_Q, I'm sorry.

alones (alones):

I can see that you're having a confusion xP

OpenStudy (xguardians):

You can also do it the other way (which I deleted since for some reason I thought it was wrong).

OpenStudy (xguardians):

-11+-3 = -14 for x -7 + -4 = -12 for y Divide by two -14/2 = -7 -12/2 = -6 (-7,-6) Haha, I was doing it right the whole time oops.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

Accidentally took a different route.

alones (alones):

Haha das fine with me xP
