OpenStudy (paledeer):

What is the angular velocity of a 6-foot pendulum that takes three seconds to complete an arc of 14.13 feet? use 3.14 for pi

OpenStudy (loser66):

What is the formula of angular velocity?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

The angular velocity of a pendulum changes during its swing. It is at zero at the ends of the arc, and a maximum at the base. This question is incomplete ( I assume it means MAXIMUM angular velocity, but it could mean Average, given the data)

OpenStudy (paledeer):

The formula for angular velocity is w=\[w= \frac{ x}{ t } \] Where x=Angle and T=Time

OpenStudy (mrnood):

that assumes a constant value it will also give you the AVERAGE value over a given interval the length of an arc is r * theta since you know the arc and r you can work out theta (the angle of swing)
