OpenStudy (kendraapedro):

The launching velocity of a missile is 20.0 m/s, and it is shot at 53º above the horizontal. What is the vertical component of the velocity at launch?

OpenStudy (ijlal):

\[V _{y}=usin \Theta\] Where Vy is the vertical component of the velocity and u is the initial velocity and theta is the angle so, \[V _{y}=20\sin(53)\] \[V _{y}=15.97m/s\]

OpenStudy (niyex):

@ijlal nice, but next time just give the formular to her so sh can apply it herself and learn. That way she will understand it better

OpenStudy (ijlal):

@niyex sorry got carried away :D wont happen again :) !

OpenStudy (niyex):
