OpenStudy (brsphysics):

A flat coil enclosing an area of 0.18 m2 is rotating at 64 rev/s, with its axis of rotation perpendicular to a 0.17 T magnetic field. (a) If there are 1075 turns on the coil, what is the maximum voltage induced in the coil? The practice version (with different numbers) got the answer 15,500 kv and said the final answer is 1.55 x 10^7 V. I did it with my numbers and got 13,200 kv which is 1.32 x 10^7 V. Webassign says that my answer is off by a power of 10. It wants the answer in V.

OpenStudy (mjdennis):

Are you keeping track of your units? 13,200 kV is too high for your given values.eep up Just so I can keep up: You are using Emax = BANw ? 1 Tesla = 1 Newton-second per Coulomb-meter = 1 N*s/(C*m) 1 V = 1 N*m/C Correct?
