Would anyone mind explaining the calculation of combinations process to me? A (Although I'm unable to solve it, it seems simple enough) basic question serves as an example follows: A class is drawing maps of the 7 continents to display in the school lobby. The main wall in the lobby has room for 3 maps. How many combinations of maps are possible for that location? 30 combinations 21 combinations 35 combinations 10 combinations I don't really need an answer to the aforementioned question, but I thought it'd be nice to have an example.

OpenStudy (thereisnousername):

oh I think you may just have to multiply 7 by 3 because its 7 continents per map, but I may be wrong I'm not quite sure

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

I hope it's that simple. I shall heed your advice, though.

OpenStudy (thereisnousername):

let me know what happens!

OpenStudy (ddos_dragon):

Actually, I'll go with a 35.
