@halo - chemical energy refers to any one of the energies below - bond energy is the energy required to break a bond in a compound where the product does not contain the particular bond. - reactant energy is the energy stored in the reactant. If the product contains less energy stored in the reactant, the reaction is exothermic (gives out energy). If the product contains more energy than the reactant, the reaction is endodermic. - Activation energy is the minimum energy required to start a chemical reaction, whether it is an exothermic or endodermic reaction.
