OpenStudy (rgoulden1999):

What temperature will 215 mL of a gas at 20°C and 1 atm pressure attain when it is subject to 1.5 atm of pressure? Law used:

sam (.sam.):

Is the gas ideal?

OpenStudy (rgoulden1999):

I think so

sam (.sam.):

\[PV=nRT\] Since the \(n\) and \(R\) are the same, \[\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}\]

OpenStudy (rgoulden1999):

thanks

OpenStudy (jfraser):

since the volume doesn't change you can cancel that from the equation also \(V_1 = V_2\)
