What is the volume of a rectangular prism when the measures are multiplied by 4? A. 3072 cm3 B. 1536 cm3 C. 384 cm3 D. 192 cm3
Remember volume is just area * height, that's the best way to understand it, that's why we have area which is 2 dimensional then multiply by height and boom 3d! Ok and it says your dimensions are multiplied by 4, so we originally have \[V = (6)(4)(2) cm^3\] but then what does the measured are multiplied by 4 imply?
Well, 6 x 4 x 2 = 48 but i don't know where to go from there
Yeah the wording can be a bit confusing, at first it looks like the dimensions themselves are being multiplied by 4 individually, but I don't think that's right, I believe it's asking for V*4 which is volume multiplied by 4.
\[V = (6)(4)(2) cm^3 \implies V = 48 cm^3 \] then \[V \times 4 = ?\]
I think you may be correct, D. 192
Yeah I think so to
okay :) thank you
Will it tell you right away if you're right or wrong?
No, but I have 2 more questions to do and then I will let you know if it was wrong or right
Ok, yeah I think I agree with you though, D looks good! Good luck!
okay I'll message you if it was right or wrong.
