Increasing the rate of the reverse reaction will cause a shift to the left. Decreasing the rate of the forward reaction will cause a shift to the left. Forward reaction is the one which gives the product from the reactants and reverse reaction is the one which gives the reactants from the products. In other words, the forward reaction is the one we write TOWARDS the RIGHT and the reverse reaction is TOWARDS the LEFT. So now can u tell what happens on increasing or decreasing the rates of the forward and reverse reactions?
