Unit conversions
@Photon336
So I want to use the equation PV = mRT not PV = nRT m is the mass
Look at this table, page 5
yeah let me see
page 4
nice table
That table will break my neck if I stare at it for too long.
I am trying to solve for Volume I can't get the units straigtened out
For my exams she is giving us this table and I won't be able to solve for n when I don't have m or M
so then, this is more algebra than unit coversion...
well n = m/M m = mass of gas M = molecular weight of gas.
in the able R = R/M , the R on top should have a line above it.
ratio of gas constant to molecular weight
\[n = \frac{ m }{ M } = \frac{ grams }{ \frac{ grams }{ mole } } = moles\]
what units are you supposed to use for R maybe if we know that we can figure this out \[pV = mRT \]
yeah, because M is the molecular weight in grams/mole
I am not going to use PV = mRT I want to use PV = nRT so n = m/M so how would I find m ? @confluxepic
I am not given a mass soooo....
