OpenStudy (theoneandonly):

Given the function, Y = 3X, what are the Y values when X=0, X=1/3, and X = 10? A.0, 9, 30 B.3, 10/3, 13 C.0 , 9, 10 D.0, 1, 30

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

So if x=0 what would y=?

OpenStudy (lavenderandsage):

Plug in those X values into the function. Y=3(0), Y=3(1/3), and Y=3(10). Then solve

OpenStudy (theoneandonly):

so it's B

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

no

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

Something that can really help you is the 0=x because anything times 0 equal zero. So y=3(0), y=0 that is one easy part, there are still two more

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

now y=3(1/3) is also an easy one. 3(1/3) or 3/1 x 1/3 equals 1 so if y=3/1 x 1/3 then y=...? you tell me.

OpenStudy (robtobey2):

D. by visual inspection.

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

Then there is y=3(10). anythings times 10 just adds a zero so y=30. Your answer is 1, 0, and 30

OpenStudy (kgrendel0324):

Thanks. Always trying to help so everyone understands rather then being like rob and just giving you the answer.

OpenStudy (robtobey2):

3x = 0 when x = 0

OpenStudy (theoneandonly):

:)

OpenStudy (theoneandonly):

can you help me with this one? What function can be used to express the relationship when X = 4, Y = 2? The input value X = 4, the output value Y = 2. A.The output value is 2 less than the input value. B.The input value is 2 less than the output value. C.The output value is twice the input value. D.Both b and c
