How many neutrons does element X have if its atomic number is 58 and its mass number is 168? neutrons

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

The mass of an atom is composed of the mass of the neutrons + mass of the protons. Electrons have a negligible mass. You know that the atomic number is made up by the number of Protons. You now know that you have 58 protons. So you have 168 = protons + neutrons 168= 58 + neutrons. Solve to get neutrons by itself.
