3w+12
Multiply the 4 by w and 3 and then combine like terms.
\[-w^2+w+12\]
@ironman12 is right if there is a parentheses around the -w and 4. If that's the case, it becomes (-w+4)*(w+3). FOIL, remember? So multiply each term in the second parentheses by -w, then by 4. So, (-w)*(w), and (-w)*(3). Then (4)*(w), and then (4)*(3). Combine like terms, and you've got it! -w^2 -3w + 4w + 12 -w^2 + w + 12 However, if there is no parentheses, I'm inclined to believe that they are ONLY multiplying by the 4. Hope this helps.
