OpenStudy (leelee0430):

Which value is most likely to be the pH of a salt that is formed by the reaction of a weak acid and a strong base? A. 2.0 B. 6.8 C. 7.0 D. 8.7

OpenStudy (aaronq):

pH doesn't apply to solids, so there is no "pH of a salt". However mixing a weak acid and a strong base (with the same concentration) will tend to produce a solution with a pH in the basic range, pH>7.

MARC (marc_d):

Hmm,what do u think? @Leelee0430

alones (alones):

I thought aaron explained it already e-e

MARC (marc_d):

yea..i know that.. lol.. i want to make sure whether the user know which option is correct .. :P xD @AloneS e-e

alones (alones):

This user probably got scared by proffesor aaron._.

MARC (marc_d):

i guess so..or maybe this user when offline before aaron could reply.. xD

MARC (marc_d):

went*

OpenStudy (mww):

Stronger unit always beats weaker unit. So the salt solution will be slightly basic
