\[\frac{ \frac{ 1 }{ x } +\frac{ 4 }{ x^2 }}{ \ 3 -\frac{ 1 }{ x }}\]
There are several ways of doing this.
This is a complex fraction. That means a main fraction that has fractions in the numerator and/or the denominator. In your case, you have fractions in the numerator and in the denominator of the main fraction. The numerator is a sum of fractions. The denominator is the difference between a whole number and a fraction.
One way to start is to add the fractions in the numerator using a common denominator. You also need to do the subtraction in the denominator. Write 3 as 3/1, then get a common denominator and subtract the fractions.
