Is this correct?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

question attached my answer: 3x + 1 = (1/3)x + 9 3x + 1 - 1 = (1/3)x + 9 - 1 3x = (1/3)x + 8 3x - (1/3)x = (1/3)x + 8 - (1/3)x (8/3)x = 8 (8/3)x/(8/3) = 8/(8/3) x = 3 [3(3) + 1] + [(1/3)(3) + 9 = [9 + 1] + [1 + 9] = 10 + 10 = 20 Length of AK = 20

OpenStudy (visarika23):

AK=10 AB=20

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

x=3 is right sure

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

but in this case when x=3 so AK not is 20 please check it again

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

the length of AK = 3x +1 so for x=3 how many will get ?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Oops, that's right, I didn't need to solve for the other equation, just AK. alright, here is my correction: 3x + 1 = (1/3)x + 9 3x + 1 - 1 = (1/3)x + 9 - 1 3x = (1/3)x + 8 3x - (1/3)x = (1/3)x + 8 - (1/3)x (8/3)x = 8 (8/3)x/(8/3) = 8/(8/3) x = 3 [3(3) + 1] = [9 + 1] = 10 Length of AK = 10

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes this is right,correct now sure

OpenStudy (visarika23):

Now its correct :)

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Thanks

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

my pleasure -
