The mean is 41.14 and the median is 41.5 The number line is 27, 28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 53, 56, 62
skewed to the left...?
How do I know that to explain it to her?

Okay, well, since the users I tagged seem to be busy/offline, I'll take a gander at this... I believe "skewed" in this case would refer to a stockpiling of values in one side of the number line (e.g. 1, 8, 12, 15, 85, 135, 280; in this case the skew is to the left). But please don't take my answer as correct, this is a complete shot in the dark hahah
So if the mean is > then median its skewed right but if the median > mean its skewed left

See the link. It's pretty easy to tell skew, all you need to know is mean and median.
So @agent0smith Median> mean= skewed left mean>median= skewed right
When skewed right, all those values on the far right pull the mean towards them When skewed left, all those values on the far left pull the mean towards them
Yes. Mean < median is skewed left mean > median is skewed right
that's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.
