@jhonyy9 (this is not my account) http://prntscr.com/chbuxx

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Please help.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

how many degrees was rotate - do you know it ? like a first step

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

180 ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

And i don't really know it, no.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes was rotate 180 degrees but do you see why not was possible reflected ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

I think so.... Wait, no I don't.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

do you know in what quadrant is the biger figure now ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Wouldn't A be the bigger quadrant?..

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

|dw:1473725346080:dw|

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

So, there all equal.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

the bigger figure yes is the A figure

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

no there are 4 quadrants

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Gotcha.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

and than you see the initial bigger figure is in quadrant 2. so than rotate it 90 degree arrive in quadrant 3 and than rotate it again 90 degrees so total 180 degrees will arrive in quadrant 4 ok.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

than this is clearly that was rotate 180 degrees but how many is the dilatation scale factor ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Would that be a fraction?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

numerate please the length of longer side initial how many units has ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes will be a fraction sure

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

So, 2/3 ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

i numerate 9 units longer and the little figure has the longer side 6

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Okay

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

not can being 2/3 bc. was dilated in the way that from bigger figure made a little so than how will be correct, right ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Oh, okay. Yes, correct. So it would be 3/2 then, right?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

exactly do you understand it now sure ?

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

I'm half and half. But I'm pretty sure I understand. :D

OpenStudy (sshayer):

i think dilation of 2/3

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

sorry but what mean this half and half ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

not can be 2/3 bc. from longer side made little

OpenStudy (sshayer):

B is smaller than A so dilation by 2/3

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Nothing. I meant I understood. I'm Scottish, so sometimes I mean different things. Thanks for your help!!!!!

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

sshayer than you numerate the longer side length from figure A is 9 and from figure B is 6 so the ratio is 9/6 = 3/2 hope this is clearly now

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

Madison i m happy that i help you and hope you understood it right - sorry for ma English

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

i m hungarian from central Europe

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

np was my pleasure and anytime good luck bye bye

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Nah, it's all good. I'm still learnin my English too. I have a tutor for speakin more English than Scottish. Anyway, Thanks! And that's Cool!!

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

Bye

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

bye

OpenStudy (sshayer):

if the image is greater then dilation .>1 if the image is smaller then dilation<1

OpenStudy (sshayer):

see dilation and lines
