Quick Chemistry question help needed.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Explain how changing the concentration of reactants can affect the rate of reaction. My answer: Because the concentration of the reactants determine the amount of molecules that will react, and the amount of molecules surface area that will react. If the concentration is higher, more molecules will react and the surface area which reacts also increased. Therefore the reaction rate will go faster and higher as well.

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Your argument relating the molar ratio is correct but the surface area part is irrelevant. Increasing concentration doesn't increases the surface area of the reactants.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Can you tell me how you would put it then @FaiqRaees?

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

@sweetburger @jhonyy9

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

If the concentration is higher, more molecules will react ,Therefore the reaction rate will go faster and higher as well.

NvidiaIntely (nvidiaintely):

Okay, so thanks again!
