given: ΔABC ≅ ΔEFD What is the length of Segment line FE rounded to the nearest tenth? 2.8 3.4 4.1 6.1

OpenStudy (dehydrated):

OpenStudy (will.h):

we can determine the length if we have the coordinates which we don't!

OpenStudy (teamrockettwin):

I think he might have been typing the coordinates or some different information to help.

OpenStudy (dehydrated):

just put them up sorry I forgot to add them

OpenStudy (will.h):

No No since the triangles are congruent then FE = BA all we have to do is to find the length of BA we can do that using dintance formula \[d = \sqrt{(y2-y1)^2 + (x2-x1)^2}\] So therefor B(2,4) A(0,2) \[BA = \sqrt{(2-4)^2 + (0-2)^2}\] which equals 2.82843 and the length of FE is the same as that

OpenStudy (teamrockettwin):

Using distance formula the answer should be 2.8

OpenStudy (dehydrated):

OOH I GET IT

OpenStudy (dehydrated):

THANK YOU @teamrockettwin @Will.H

OpenStudy (will.h):

you welcome
