Please help. I have an equilateral triangle with sides 3x-4, 2x-6, and x. Write and solve an equation to find x.

I'm supposed to solve for x
false, is it equilateral and did you type all the sides in correctly?
I typed it exactly as it appeared in the homework, but I think there has to be a typo. What if the x at the base did not exist, then I could say 3x-4 = 2x+6, and x would equal 10. I think the teacher goofed up!!
Still if it is Equilateral, all sides are equal, so x = 2x - 6 x = 3x - 4 3x - 4 = 2x - 6
all 3 give diffferent values
@danjs I see your point exactly, but I drew the triangle exactly as it appeared. Do you agree that this problem cannot be solved?
@danjs thank you
welcome, as long as you know how to solve it, that works
@danjs I do not know how to solve it as written because the three equations yield different values for x, and thus different lengths for the 3 sides. It is equilateral, so something must be wrong with the problem
