could you explain what exactly the question is and if there's a function, that would help
@Will.H The graph of an absolute value function opens down and has a vertex of (-3,0).
The vertex has been a weak point for me in a few assignments because of variations of this question.

So you do know that the Domain is all inputs (x values) of the function Range is all outputs (y values) of the function since it is OPENS DOWN that means the maximum value (vertex) is (-3,0) So since we said the maximum value then that would means that the domains (x values) of the function is all real numbers less than or equal to -3 and the range is all y values less than or equal to 0 hope that helps
so [-3,infinity) for domain and (-infinity,0] for range @Will.H

you welcome just know that the domains and ranges vary from function to another (types) in linear function it is easy to determine the domain and range in exponential function and polynomials it would take some work in your question am sure it is exponentiaal or polynomial since you mentioned vertex so i can't help you any further because i don't have the function sorry :)
