can you help me with four more questions? they are all fairly easy i mean just like the last one i posted @SapphireMoon

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

1) In general, explain how a chemical reaction would be affected by an increase in surface area. Use the following terms in your description: surface area, frequency of collisions, and rate of reaction.

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

2)Explain how an increase temperature affects reaction rates. Use the following terms in your explanation: kinetic energy of particles, frequency of collisions, and rate of reaction.

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

1) A greater surface area increases the amount of one compound that is available to react with, which increases frequency of collisions, which in turn increases rate of reaction. 2) An increase in temperature increases the kinetic energy of reacting particles, which increases the likelihood and therefore frequency of the collisions, which in turn increases the rate of reaction. (These all sound the same... I am literally just sticking all of these words together in a way that's scientifically sound...)

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

3)In general, explain how a chemical reaction would be affected by adding a catalyst. Use the following terms in your description: catalyst, activation energy, and rate of reaction.

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

i appreciate this help so much thank you

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

yw sorry I can't figure that third one out...
