answer these questions by looking at this chart... A. We know, from our experimental results, that when an acid mixes with baking soda gaseous CO2 is given off. What scientific name is given to an acid/base reaction (there are 2 acceptable answers)? b. When acids and bases combine, there are typically 2 main products given off as a result, CO2 is one, what is the other? c. If a strong acid and a strong base are mixed, what is the resulting pH of the mixture?
a is neutrualization, cant think of the other one b the other is H2O i think c pH=7
c is only true if the strong acid and base are of the same normality which is not part of your question, but this hidden assumption has to be made
xD thanks <3 ive been stuck on this for weeeeekkkksss
can you help me with these too? they go with the same chart Based on your results from this simulation, what color would an acid with a pH of 1 be? What color results from a base with a pH of 14? e. Based on what you know of acids and bases, what do acids release in solution? From your table, what is the strongest acid? f. What do bases release in solution? From your table, what is the strongest base?
@caozeyuan
Based on your results from this simulation, what color would an acid with a pH of 1 be? Hot Pink What color results from a base with a pH of 14? darkest blue e. Based on what you know of acids and bases, what do acids release in solution? H+, H3O+ From your table, what is the strongest acid? lemon juice f. What do bases release in solution? OH- From your table, what is the strongest base? stain remover
