OpenStudy (jtfan2000):

Describe the time it would take for Earth to orbit the collapsed sun if the sun collapsed into a black hole.

OpenStudy (johnnyq):

You would use the mass of the sun taken to the exponent of the black hole constant – mass^100. So 2 x 10^30^2 = 2 x 10^32. Then at 93 million AU (the distance from the sun to Earth) it is the mass divided by distance or 2x10^32 / 9.3 x 10^7 = 2.15 x 10^24 seconds
