OpenStudy (narissa):

@3mar

OpenStudy (3mar):

I am her!

OpenStudy (3mar):

@narissa

OpenStudy (narissa):

k

OpenStudy (3mar):

Sorry for late.

OpenStudy (narissa):

k

OpenStudy (3mar):

Can you plot the first point?

OpenStudy (narissa):

k

OpenStudy (3mar):

For a very and most easy two points for any graph ( and keep that in mind ): put x=0 and see what you get for y + put y=0 and see what you get for x Do it now !

OpenStudy (3mar):

Can you kindly respond more faster, please?

OpenStudy (narissa):

k i cant do it

OpenStudy (narissa):

-1?

OpenStudy (narissa):

1?

OpenStudy (narissa):

@SapphireMoon

OpenStudy (narissa):

@SapphireMoon

OpenStudy (3mar):

for x=0>>>>>>y=2 and for y=0 >>>>>>x=-8/3 plot them

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Take a few points that result in "nice" numbers. I like 4 cause the 3/4 turns it into a 3 resulting in y = 5.

OpenStudy (narissa):

can u draw how it looks please

OpenStudy (3mar):

or y=-4>>>>>x=-8

OpenStudy (narissa):

this is hard

OpenStudy (3mar):

ok tell me how you want it easy which method you want to do it?

OpenStudy (narissa):

just show me how it looks on the graph please

OpenStudy (narissa):

@563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Graph it like slope-intercept....First determine the y-intercept. `y=mx+b` \(\Large\bf{m=slope}\) \(\Large\bf{y=y-intercept}\) `f(x)= 3/4x +2` The slope is `3/4` and the y-intercept is `2`

563blackghost (563blackghost):

I meant `b=y-intercept` not `y=y-intercept` sorry about that

OpenStudy (3mar):

\[y=\frac{4}{3}x+2\] put x=0>> \[y=\frac{4}{3}(0)+2=2\] ... so the first point is (0,2) then put y=-2 \[-2=\frac{4}{3}x+2\] \[-2-2=\frac{4}{3}x\] \[-4=\frac{4}{3}x\] \[-4*3/4=x\] x=-3 so the second point is (-3,-2)

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Nicely said 3mar :)

OpenStudy (narissa):

right?

OpenStudy (narissa):

thank you both

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Not quite. It has a rise of 3 and a run of 4, not a rise of 4 and a run of 3.

OpenStudy (3mar):

Yes, it is Correct! \[\checkmark\]

OpenStudy (narissa):

draw it please

OpenStudy (3mar):

Sorry It is my mistake I mean (-4,-1) I am so sorry

OpenStudy (3mar):

@563blackghost I thank you!

OpenStudy (narissa):

OpenStudy (3mar):

That one is correct!

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Excellent!

OpenStudy (narissa):

thank you!!

563blackghost (563blackghost):

nicely done ;)

OpenStudy (3mar):

You are the nicest! ;)
