OpenStudy (dller008):

A diner has collected data about customer coffee-drinking habits. They have calculated that P(cream) = 0.5, P(sugar) = 0.6, and P(cream or sugar) = 0.7. Determine the P(cream and sugar). 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7

OpenStudy (wanell):

The best answer to the conditional probability question stated above would be letter D. The probability would be 0.7. This is because you can see in the data that the probability difference of choosing cream when there is sugar and cream are .2, plus the probability difference of choosing sugar would be .1, and then if you add, you get .3. Lastly you subtract it from 1, thus, the answer of 0.7.
