what are the mean,median,mode, and range of the data set given the altitude of lakes in feet:-11,-28,-17,-25,-28,-39,-6,and -46? A. mean= -25; median= -26.5; mode= -28; range=40 B. mean= -25; median=-40; mode=-26.5; range=28 C. mean= -26.5; median= -25; mode= -28; range=28 D. mean=-26.5; median=-28; mode=-25; range=40 @Will.H @563blackghost
`Mode - number that repeats the most` `Median - organize from least to greatest, then you would mark one off in the beginning and one at the end and continue on till your left with one number in the middle` `Range - Subtract the largest value by the smallest value in the set` `Mean - add up all the numbers and divide by how many numbers there are`
Yes I know how to find those I was thinking it was B or D.

Let's first calculate the Mean.... \(\Large\bf{\frac{-11+(-28)+(-17)+(-25)+(-28)+(-39)+(-6)+(-46)}{8}}\) Simplify... \(\huge\bf{\frac{-200}{8} = -25}\) So we can only choose A or B.
Its B because the mode is -36
Not quite. The mode is the one that repeats. \(\Large\bf{-11,-28,-17,-25,-28,-39,-6,-46}\) Only one number repeats and that is \(\large\bf{-28}\) so that is our mode.
