We need to use the Centripetal Acceleration Formula. \(\Large\bf{a_{rad}=\frac{v^{2}}{R}}\) \(\bf{v^{2}}\) is the velocity (m/s). \(\bf{R}\) is the radius. We know of the diameter as `4.0m` but we need to know the `radius`. So we `divide the diameter by 2`to find the `radius`. \(\large\bf{4 \div 2 = 2 = r}\) We can now plug this into the formula. \(\Large\bf{a_{rad}=\frac{(2.8~m/s)^{2}}{2~m}}\) We apply the exponent to the parenthesis. \(\Large\bf{a_{rad}=\frac{7.84 ~m^{2}/s^{2}}{2~m}}\) Now simplify. What is the centripetal acceleration?

Rainluke01:

i'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lostr

563blackghost:

Please read through and try to understand it. What are you lost on?

Rainluke01:

3.92?

563blackghost:

Correct :)

Rainluke01:

THANK YOU SO MUCH
