Composition of Functions

Shadow:

Let \[f(x) = x + 5\] Evaluate \[\frac{ f(x + h) - f(x) }{ h }\]

Shadow:

@Vocaloid @563blackghost

Vocaloid:

so to calculate f(x+h) you just have to substitute "x+h" for x in the original function

Vocaloid:

f(x+h) = (x+h) + 5 and then use this to evaluate the entire expression the h's should cancel out in the end

Shadow:

\[\frac{ x + h + 5 - (x + 5) }{ h } = \frac{ h }{ h } = 1\]

Shadow:

Thank you
