cookiemonster:

so the answer would be...?

Angle:

which of those pictures looks uneven?

cookiemonster:

is the answer A?

Angle:

correct

cookiemonster:

awesome! next :) What elemental trend exists in each row as we move from left to right on the periodic table? Number of protons decreases Number of protons increases Chemical reactivity of metals increases Chemical reactivity of nonmetals decreases

cookiemonster:

so B?

Angle:

yup!

cookiemonster:

awesome! next :) What is formed when atoms of one type react with atoms of other types? Compound Electrons Element Protons

cookiemonster:

C?

Angle:

an element is only one type of atom

cookiemonster:

or sorry A?

Angle:

yes, A is correct :)

cookiemonster:

According to Dalton's atomic theory, which statement is true about atoms of the same element? They can be destroyed. They have identical mass. They have different properties. They can be divided into elements.

cookiemonster:

B?

Angle:

correct ^_^

cookiemonster:

Which of the following explains how all compounds are created? By the combination of an unlimited number of elements By creating and destroying protons of different atoms By the combinations of many atoms of the same element By losing, gaining, or sharing electrons between other atoms

cookiemonster:

so A?

Angle:

I don't think it is possible to combine an unlimited number of elements... we'd get a black hole haha

cookiemonster:

oh okay, so d?

Angle:

right! :D

cookiemonster:

Which type of mixture can be separated using distillation? A compound with elements of different boiling points Homogeneous mixture with components of different boiling points A compound with elements of similar boiling points Homogeneous mixture with components of similar boiling points

cookiemonster:

b? ^

cookiemonster:

@Angle

cookiemonster:

@TheSmartOne

Angle:

I'm not sure on the true definition and process of distillation, but I'm thinking: compounds, as we said in the previous question, is bound together by sharing electrons. so compounds CANNOT be separated by simply boiling

Angle:

distilling's purpose is to separate substances from each other by boiling. if they have the same boiling temperatures, then all the your stuff might boil away. if they have different temperatures, then you can boiling one of the substances away at a lower temperature, then you can be left with the substance that didn't get boiled away

cookiemonster:

okay last one :)

cookiemonster:

Which of the following is a property of salts? Undergo combustion Do not make ionic bonds easily Do not conduct electricity as solids Formed due to reaction of acid with water @Angle

Angle:

|dw:1524875369588:dw|

cookiemonster:

C?

Angle:

correct :)

cookiemonster:

all done thanks :)
