Juila12001:

why do atoms conduct electricity use the concept of ionization energy in your answer

Vocaloid:

old question but will attempt anyway so this can be closed conductors (usu. metals) have low ionization energy, which means their electrons can be easily excited to higher energy levels. since electricity is the result of moving electrons, having a low ionization energy allows certain materials to be better conductors of electricity
