If the valence electrons were removed, what would be the ion charge of the element? Na = _____ -1 +1 -3 +3

Electronic configuration of Na is: 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s1. If valence electron i.e electron from 3s orbital is removes, sodium will have configuration same as Neon with a +1 charge on it. Hence charge on the ion will be +1. Hope u do well ;)
