Pls help w/ these math questions
This is the 1st problem
@Zepdrix or @Vocaloid whenever you guys get a chance
For the first problem use the compound interest formula \(A = P (1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt} \) P = principal amount (the initial amount you borrow or deposit) r = annual rate of interest (as a decimal) t = number of years the amount is deposited or borrowed for. A = amount of money accumulated after n years, including interest. n = number of times the interest is compounded per year
@dude I did the 1st problem and got $82692.278.
@Shadow
Do you understand how to approach this one. It is similar to the other one.
As they are both being compounded daily.
\(A = P (1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt} \) P = principal amount (the initial amount you borrow or deposit) r = annual rate of interest (as a decimal) t = number of years the amount is deposited or borrowed for. A = amount of money accumulated after n years, including interest. n = number of times the interest is compounded per year First let's convert the percentage of 2 3/8 % 3/8->0.375 Thus, 2.375% Convert this to a complete decimal by moving the decimal twice to the left. \[r = 0.02375\] Next we convert 2 years and 2 months to purely years. \[2 months \times \frac{ 1 year }{ 12 months } = \frac{ 2 }{ 12 } = 0.16666666666\] \[t = 2.16666666666 years\] \[A = (51,123.21)(1 + \frac{ 0.02375 }{ 365 })^{365 \times 2.16666666666 } \] http://prntscr.com/ltcxwl
@Shadow was my first answer correct?
