Vocaloid:

spectrofluorometry lab question about quenching constant of an unknown

Vocaloid:

so I have an unknown solution, 3 fluorophores (quinine, acridine, coumarin), 3 quenchers (NaBr, NaI, NaCl) I have tested each of the fluorophores with each of the quenchers to obtain a total of 9 quenching constants using the Stern-Volmer equation. I also tested the unknown with each of the three quenchers. I am given the equation F0/F - 1 = Kq1[Q1] + Kq2[Q2[ for quenching constants Kq1, Kq2 and concentrations of quenchers Q1 and Q2. I am asked to identify the unknown concentration of quencher and the identify of the two quenchers inside it. I'm not really sure where to go from here, any advice would be much appreciated.

Vocaloid:

also an eli5-level explanation of the purpose of a quencher and why one would be used in practicality
