lowkey:

In an Acid and Base reaction, can there be a base, conjugate acid, and conjugate base? I know they all come in fours, but I don't know how to label this equation 2H2O(aq)<>OH-(aq)+H3O+(aq)

lowkey:

@vocaloid

Vocaloid:

water can act as an acid or a base it might help if you re-write 2H2O as H2O + H2O, then you'll see that one of them is acting as an acid to make the conjugate base OH and one of them is acting as a base to make the conjugate acid H3O+

lowkey:

Oh, thank you. I wondered if that was the case, but since it was grouped the same, I thought that it was either acid or base. thank you, I appreciate it <3
