a .0400M NaCl solution was formed when 32g of NaCl was dissolved in water. What was the total volume of the solution formed? 7.20 L 9.80 L 13.7 L 18.1 L
convert 32g NaCl to moles then solve 0.04M NaCl solution = moles NaCl / (x L of solution) for x
ok so NaCl is 58.4 g/mol, now what?
as per my instructions, convert 32 g of NaCl to moles
32g / (58.4 g/mol) gives moles NaCl then plug into the equation and solve for x
ok so i got .5479 when dividing 32/58.4. but what’s the equation? sorry i’m a little slow, haha !

ok thank you!! i’ll try and solve it now :)
in case you get back to this 0.04M NaCl solution = moles NaCl / (x L of solution) for x x = 32g / (58.4 g/mol) / (0.04) = 13.7L
thank you!! that’s what i got too :)
