Deamoura:

Select the statements that are correct about a group. The elements in each group have similar chemical properties. The elements in each group have identical physical properties. The atomic number of each element increases by 7 down through the group. Each member of the group has the identical electron configuration in the outer shell.

JSVSL7:

A - elements in each group have same valence e-, thus similar reactivity. So what do you think about A? B - Physical properties can't really be determined from the periodic table C - Look at the periodic table. It is normally 8, but that is still not the case for group 1 and 2, so we can't draw a pattern here. Also when you get d orbitals involved it wouldn't work out D - The number of e- and the block is the same, but the principle quantum number is different. I wouldn't say this is an answer What do you think?
