So I was in chem class but I don't get why N2O is not triple bond between N and N and double bond between N and O cuz that would be better right?

Sadly I personally can't help you with this, I did get a B in chemistry but it for sure wasn't my strong subject and I'm surprised I got that with the lack of effort I put in the class lol

from what I can tell the structure you are suggesting would violate the octet rule and introduce a lot of torsional strain
