since \[\sin(45)=\cos(45) = 24/\sqrt(2)\] for this problem, we can figure out z by taking \[24\sqrt(2)/\sqrt(2)\] = 24

darkknight:

This means the side opposite the 45 degree angle is also 24. Now knowing our 30-60-90 ratios, this means that 24 = \[y \sqrt3\] So \[y = 24/\sqrt3\] And x is twice the value of y, or \[x = 48/\sqrt3\]

darkknight:

You can rewrite these to get the fraction on the top, by multiplying both the bottom and top by \[\sqrt3\] so that \[48\sqrt(3) /3 = 16\sqrt(3)\]

thx
