ramen:

A 1.00 kg piece of aluminum metal at 90.0 °C is placed in 4.00 liters (= 4.00 kg) of water at 25.0 °C. Determine the final temperature (Tf).

ramen:

There wasn't a thermodynamics section.....

SemiDefinite:

\(\Delta Q = m_1 ~ c_1 ~ \Delta T_1 = m_2 ~ c_2 ~ \Delta T_2\)

ramen:

That's the formula?

SemiDefinite:

\( 1 * c_{Al} * (90 - T_f) = 4 * c_{H_2 O} * (T_f - 25)\)

SemiDefinite:

it's not the answer, but in any engineering or physics pursuit, it's the Newtonian formula that makes sense and that is backed up by common sense.

ramen:

Ok thank you, I will look into that

SemiDefinite:

I think you are right, btw: there should be a Thermo section.

ramen:

Yea lol
