Verify. SHOW ALL WORK. You should have 4 steps. I really need help please

Vocaloid:

re-write cot(x) as cos(x)/sin(x) re-write sec(x) as 1/cos(x) re-write csc(x) as 1/sin(x) notice how everything cancels out and you're left with 1

Foreverangel:

No I don't get it I have been trying to get it for a week now im not understanding

Thank you sooooooo much! So I have 2 more which are supposed to have 2 steps only (tanx)(cscx)(cosx)=1 and (sinx)(cotx)(secx)=1. I am wondering would I solve those the same like you did?

Vocaloid:

yeah, same method, re-write in terms of sin and cos and cancel

Foreverangel:

I know I am late but yeah I wasnt able to figure them out

Vocaloid:

(tanx)(cscx)(cosx)=1 (sin(x)/cos(x)) * (1/sin(x)) * cos(x) notice how sin and cos cancel out to get 1

Foreverangel:

Yes

Vocaloid:

yeah so that's the identity proved can you try (sinx)(cotx)(secx)=1 now?

Foreverangel:

I think it is cos(x)/sin(x)*1/cos(x)?

Vocaloid:

almost, you're missing the sin(x) at the beginning sin(x)*cos(x)/sin(x)*1/cos(x) ---> ends up being 1 after simplifying

Foreverangel:

How would I simplify that?

Vocaloid:

cross out the sins and cos as appropriate for example, you have sin(x) in the numerator and sin(x) in the denominator. sin(x)/sin(x) = 1 so you can cross out both sines.

Foreverangel:

Oh okay thank you so much for all your help
